Between July and October 2025, and then again in April 2026, we partnered with UnityLegal, a Delhi-NCR-based law firm, to host a series of five interactive workshops for women associated with Hamari Pahchan. Led by legal experts, these sessions went beyond theory; offering personalized guidance, unpacking key themes from the Dream.in Handbook, and opening up conversations around legal careers and pathways for those interested in the field.
The sessions primarily covered topics included in the handbook such as gender and labor, human resources, labor unions and more. Copies of which were translated into Hindi and distributed to our NGO partner - Hamari Pahchan to then be distributed amongst all the workshop attendees; so as to truly serve as a long-term companion for them, as and when they may need it.
Furthermore, what began in December 2024 as an idea, has now grown into LEAN.in's second initiative in terms of awareness building. An article series that explores the everyday legal realities faced by women in India. From property and inheritance rights to workplace discrimination and gender-based violence, each piece breaks down complex legal frameworks into accessible, practical insights. The aim is simple: to not just inform diverse groups of readers from all ages, but to empower them with clear pathways to action, support, and redressal.
To go beyond content and information-sharing, in June 2025, we also launched a focused fundraising campaign on Milaap, raising ₹1,55,000 in support of our partner NGO, Hamari Pahchan.
These funds are being utilized to directly contribute to providing free and subsidized legal aid to the women under their care, who might otherwise lack access to representation; helping bridge a critical gap between rights and real-world access to justice.
